Although the trip is long past, the great memories of the horse trip are not.
Just wanted to let you know, we all had a wonderful time and the fishing was the
best. You were right, 3 days was not long enough, but our schedule didn't
permit more. I know I want to come back (I saw a nice pool with a school of
huge fish in the third meadow from the trail above on the way back!). Well,
thank my horse Clayton with a carrot or apple or something for lugging my butt
up there. Phil and Mike were great too, so Tim should give them each half a
carrot. And finally, the food was great as well. Best wishes!

You will enjoy our first class camp. It is nestled on the banks of Slough Creek. Trophy fly fishing and bull elk hunting (Montana Hunting area 316) are basically available out your front door. You are in the heart of big bull elk country. We are one mile from the Yellowstone National Park boundary. We are the only permitted base camp on Slough Creek. The dates for fly fishing summer camp start at the end of July and run through the first week of September. The early season elk hunts start Sept. 13th and run through the end of September. The opening day is Sept. 15th. We run 8-day hunts back to back. One day of camp time, book reading, fishing and relaxing.

Camp accommodations consist of spacious canvas wall tents. Your sleeping tent is equipped with cots, foam rubber, wood stoves and even carpet on the floor. A shower house, (solar bag) is also available for your convenience. Home cooked delicious meals are served daily in our dining tent (pictured below) with nice table and chairs. A camp tender is on duty, too.

This is a camp and crew that you can feel comfortable bringing your wife and family to, even your mother and better yet your mother-in-law!

Even for the ones that are going on their first time horseback riding experience, will feel at ease with our gentle horses and mules. Call us on the ages of your group.

$400.00 per day trip per person for summer pack trips to Slough Creek camp- includes food, horses/mules and lodging
